Volume One, Number Two is now being put together.
TWA members in good standing are invited to submit immediately.

Submissions accepted by electronic means only. Hard copy will not be considered. Simultaneous submissions okay. Send no more than three poems (50 line limit per poem) or short stories (5,000 word limit). Submissions accepted continuously with no applicable deadlines.

Submit to Editor Randy Mackin, rtmackin@mtsu.edu, as a Word document or rich text file. Also send a very brief bio, and a jpg format photograph in color or black & white. Include your online contact information; authors whose work is accepted for publication will be notified via email.


The inaugural edition of Maypop
includes the winners of the 2008 Poetry Competition: df marbut for "relocation," Georganne Harmon for "July in the Roman Forum," and Kemmer Anderson for "Ode to Mockingbirds."

This edition also includes the Short Fiction winners for 2008: "A Soft Tread" by Alice Owens Johnson, "My Uncle Swan Got Saved" by Ed Sams, and "The Crop Duster's Daughter" by Dana Chamblee Carpenter.
Be sure to also read short stories by TWA members Tomi L. Wiley, Elizabeth Howard, and Rhonda Clark, and a series of haiku by Louise Colln.
